The Importance Of The Ozone Layer
Most importantly, Ozone preservation plays a pivotal role in safeguarding ecosystems and human health by reducing harmful ultraviolet (UV) radiation. This contributes to environmental degradation and health risks.
The CEO, Sterling One Foundation, Olapeju Ibekwe, stressed the vital importance of ozone layer protection within the organization’s overall climate action strategy.
He says “protecting the ozone layer is essential to securing the future health and well-being of both our environment and communities.
“Climate action is central to the Foundation’s mission. We are fully committed to leading efforts that preserve our natural resources and promote sustainable practices for generations to come”.
Ibekwe noted that efforts to protect the ozone layer are deeply interconnected with the global climate agenda.
“Climate action is a collective responsibility, and we must continue to work together across sectors to ensure that the steps we take today preserve the planet for tomorrow.
“We are committed to driving this action through our initiatives and partnerships, in alignment with global goals.”. the CEO said.
